Meet our winning couple
Robyn & Austin!

Robyn & Austin were flown to Botswana to witness first-hand the real impact natural diamonds have on the country!

Last year, we launched our first-ever millennial targeted contest called ‘Real Stories. Real Diamonds. Real Impact’ under the Diamonds Do Good banner. The contest called on newly engaged and married couples with an itch for adventure to get creative and share their bling.

Entrants were tasked with creating a one-minute video detailing their proposal story, what they love about their diamond, and what their ring means to them and their relationship. The winning couple was selected with the help of three social media influencers, Roamaroo covering travel, Green Wedding Shoes covering marriage and weddings, and The Diamonds Girl, of course, covering diamonds.

Lucky winners Robyn and Austin Consaul experienced a once in a lifetime opportunity this past July – a week-long trip to Botswana, now one of Africa’s fastest growing economies thanks to its abundance of natural diamonds. “Africa still feels like a dream,” Robyn recounted upon returning home to Tampa, Florida last week. Ending in a four-day safari, the couple experienced Botswana like never before, taking pottery classes on the premises of the beautiful Grand Palm Hotel and learning about Botswana’s history and culture.

Tracey Ellison

Founded in 2014, TheDiamondsGirl has rapidly gained a global reputation for sharing the very best high jewelry with its rapidly growing following. The founder, Tracey Ellison, travels the world, seeking out both classic and contemporary items from global high jewelry brands, as well as new and emerging design talents.

Born and raised in South Africa, Tracey previously consulted to Fortune 100 companies on winning customer service strategies. While she loved helping companies develop loyal brand ambassadors, her heart lay elsewhere….in jewelry. This passion led her to start an Instagram page, TheDiamondsGirl, to share her love and appreciation of beautifully crafted pieces with likeminded individuals. Passionate about everything she does, Tracey has built a loyal following of jewelry lovers and industry insiders, and today her Instagram page is the largest jewelry influencer page on Instagram, with well over 500,000 followers. Her daily Instagram feed features original content from high end jewelers, such as Graff, Cartier, and Harry Winston as well as creative, upcoming talent. Ethically sourced, natural diamonds are a priority for Tracey, so this project – Diamonds Do Good – is particularly close to her heart. Having seen the impact the mining sector has on its communities first hand, Tracey is proud to be involved in this exciting initiative that works so hard to give back to those communities.

Real Diamonds

Unique and rare, diamonds have existed long before life on earth, forming billions of years ago nearly 100 miles beneath the earth’s surface, waiting for their chance to shine.  Today, the diamond is the universal symbol of love, representing our emotions, relationships and milestones.
