Phyllis Bergman was CEO of Mercury Ring Corporation for 32 years, overseeing all aspects of the company, including sales, design, operations, marketing, and client relations and has now turned her energies to creating Phyllis Bergman Consults to help other companies in the international jewelry industry analyze, strategize, innovate and connect.

In 2007, Ms. Bergman was named Entrepreneur of The Year by Enterprising Women Magazine and then became the first female-owned company in the jewelry industry.

Ms. Bergman served on many Boards of Directors in the jewelry industry, among which are The Manufacturing Jewelers and Silversmiths of America,  The Plumb Club, The American ORT Federation, the first president of The International Women’s Jewelry Association, the American Gem Society, the first woman chairman of The Twenty-Four Karat Club of the City Of New York, the Jewelers Vigilance Committee, Jewelers Board of Trade, president of The Diamond Empowerment Fund, now known as Diamonds Do Good.  Ms. Bergman presently serves on the Board of Directors of Zillion Insurance Co., the Senior Advisory Committee of the Women’s Jewelry Association, and the President’s Council of Diamonds Do Good.

Ms. Bergman is a recipient of The International Women’s Jewelry Association Manufacturer of the Year Award and an inductee into their Hall of Fame. She has also been awarded the Prestigious Triple Zero Award by the American Gem Society.
