Giving Back Never Looked So Gorgeous!

D.E.F Gets in the Holiday Spirit with the Diamond Empowerment Fund (D.E.F.)’s Iconic Green Bracelet, by SHR Jewelry Group

December 10, 2014 (New York, NY) — This holiday season, the Diamond Empowerment Fund (D.E.F.) and SHR Jewelry Group, L.LC. (SHR) teamed up once again to honor the season and spirit of giving with the release of the new Green Bracelet.

The Green Bracelet Initiative™ was created in 2007 with the support of hip hop mogul, entrepreneur, and philanthropist Russell Simmons to support educational initiatives which empower the next generation of leaders in diamond communities around the globe.  To date, The Green Bracelet Initiative™ has raised over $1,000,000 for D.E.F. thanks to the many retailers and consumers that supported this effort.

D.E.F & SHR were thrilled to re-introduce the fashion-forward newly enhanced iconic “Green Bracelet” in time for the gift giving season and in conjunction with the launch of D.E.F.’s new website “Diamonds Do Good.”  This new site celebrates the charitable good works that are done by diamond and jewelry communities around the world while at the same time educating consumers about the beauty, rarity and uniqueness of the diamond itself.

The chic new version of the bracelet features lustrous 8mm malachite beads and a gold plated station with 2 polished diamond accents to symbolize the bright future of the students D.E.F. has supported over the years.  Bracelets stretch and come in two sizes: Small and Medium.

The Green Bracelet has recently been spotted on the wrist of model and actress Nicola Breytenbach (below).  The “original” design of the Green Bracelet had been seen on celebrated and socially conscious personalities such as Penelope Cruz, Beyonce, LL Cool J, Ringo Starr, and Michael Phelps amongst many others.
