Throughout the global pandemic and nationwide lockdown in Surat, Shree Ramkrishna Exports Pvt Ltd (SRK), a leading company in diamond crafting & exporting, stepped up to support those affected by the lockdown. SRK provided migrant families with food grains, breads, and grocery kits.
Because SRK’s diamond crafting facilities are located in Surat, they joined forces with the Surat Municipal Corporation and Chhayado Foundation, which is a nonprofit organization that provides free meals to underprivileged communities in Surat city.
SRK Group served over 300,000 breads, distributed more than 120,000 pounds of food grains, and over 120 grocery kits to marginalized and vulnerable communities across the Surat city during these challenging times.
“These efforts were taken to ensure that amidst this pandemic, everyone can get their daily meals and not be worried about food,” said a company volunteer for SRK. “Because Surat has helped craft our lives, it’s our duty to give back to the city in such times of need. We are working on the same and looking forward to more ways in extending our support to the government and SMC’s efforts.
