New York, N.Y.; January 22, 2024 – The Diamonds Do Good board is pleased to introduce its new leadership team, including President Kathy Corey, president-elect Peter Engel, and immediate past president Anna Martin, all set to serve a two-year term. David Bonaparte has also been welcomed as the organization’s Treasurer.

Kathy Corey, a former owner and current Board Member for Day’s Jewelers, brings her industry expertise to the role. Day’s Jewelers, operating eight stores in Maine and New Hampshire, received the Business of the Year award from the Women’s Jewelry Association in 2017.

In addition to the leadership changes, five new board members have joined from diverse sectors of the industry:

  • Sarin Bachmann: Group Vice President, RX Jewelry Portfolio
  • Allison Katz: President, Krupp Group PR
  • Lola Oladunjoye: Designer, Lola Fenhirst
  • Pritesh Patel: Senior Vice-President & Chief Operating Officer, GIA
  • Constance Polamalu: Chief Operating Officer, Zachary’s Jewelers

Incoming President Kathy Corey expressed her enthusiasm, saying, “We are pleased to welcome these new board members. They share a passion for the mission of Diamonds Do Good and a commitment to its growth in the years ahead.”

I look forward to working closely with Kathy and Pete to continue the positive impact Diamonds Do Good has made for communities and to encourage the industry to share these stories with their customers.”

Diamonds Do Good will host its 2024 GOOD Awards on May 30 from 6-9 pm at the San Polo Ballroom, Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas.

Diamonds Do Good was inspired in 2006 by Nelson Mandela to tell the world about the positive impact of diamonds in Southern Africa. Its focus today is to create meaningful change in diamond communities across the world and to tell these meaningful stories.
