While Gerald Peters supports many different charities and organizations, The Carl Bini Foundation and Michael’s Cause are particularly important to Gerald Peter’s customers and community.
Carl Bini was a firefighter who passed away during the attacks on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. Throughout his life, Bini was known for being a local hero who loved Staten Island and helping those who lived there no matter what they were going through. Because of the legacy that Carl Bini left, the Carl Bini Foundation was created to raise money to support residents of Staten Island, specifically to help fight the drug epidemic that Staten Island currently faces. The Foundation created a rehab facility called Carl’s House to help those need it. The Foundation has also allocated more than $150,000 in scholarships alone to the local community.
Every year, the Foundation holds the “Carl Bini Bash” which raises money for needs in the local community. In February of 2020, Gerald Peters donated a pair of 2 carat diamond earrings, retailed at over $10,000 to be auctioned off at the event.
Michael’s Cause is a foundation created out of love and in response to a local boy who was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy. The foundation helps to create awareness and raise money to fight the disease.
