Kishan H. is pursuing his Diploma in Civil Engineering at the Arham Veerayatan Institute of Engineering, Technology & Research. He hails from Naliya, Abdasa, a village in India which is known for its hardships. Kishan grew up in a single parent home with his mother and sister; and despite all, he managed to complete his primary schooling from the local government school. Kishan decided early on that he wanted to support his family by being educated and getting a well-paying job; but enrolling in an engineering college was next to impossible with its high fee and his family’s financial situation. Veerayatan extended a hand and gave him a scholarship so that he would have his chance to earn his degree, in hopes that he will one day be able to financially support his sister and mother.
Being the brave boy that he is, Kishan has lived up to the school’s expectations and doesn’t lose hope no matter what. He continues to work hard until he reaches his goals, and moreover, with the help and encouragement of his mother, he has been able to transcend his circumstances.
