Kim Kardashian and Reggie Bush are in Africa on behalf of the Diamond Empowerment Fund (DEF). Kim’s an Angel Ambassador for DEF and Reggie is a founding member of DEF’s new donor advocates group, Athletes for Africa. Kim’s sister, Khloe Kardashian, is also on the trip, as is retired NFL player Ray Crockett, co-chair of the Athletes for Africa advisory committee. DEF’s executive director Ellen Haddigan is with them as they visit Botswana’s Jwaneng Mine (the world’s largest producing diamond mine) and various diamond-related social initiatives, as well as education programs DEF supports in South Africa.

President Mogae, a member of DEF’s Advisory Board, met the team on their first stop at the Motswedi children’s rehabilitation center, excited to welcome them to Botswana. They were honored to be with him and the US Ambassador to Botswana, Stephen Nolan, took the time to share this special visit with them.
